Nautilus Insurance Group Names Eric Marler SVP, Chief Claims Officer

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Nautilus Insurance Group, a Berkley company, announces the appointment of Eric Marler as Sr. Vice President, Chief Claims Officer.

Mr. Marler brings more than 20 years of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry, with a strong track record of leading claims organizations, driving operational transformation, and improving underwriting profitability. Most recently, he served as Head of Claims at a tech-enabled managing general agent (MGA). In that role, he oversaw enterprise claims strategy, reserving, litigation management, regulatory compliance, and claims operations across a national casualty portfolio. 

Earlier in his career, Mr. Marler held senior leadership roles within the insurance industry, and practiced law advising insurers on complex coverage matters. He is recognized for aligning claims strategy with underwriting and financial objectives, leveraging data and technology to enhance performance, and building high-performing teams.

Mr. Marler earned his Juris Doctor, with distinction, from the University of Iowa College of Law and his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Iowa.
